81. i know it has been dry out there. we could use some rain. we have a slight chance for rain in the seven-day forecast. >> we have a few things to mention. we did pick up an accident at edmonson avenue. there is fire activity at hillsdale road, which is closed in both directions. the alternate will be garrison. in columbia, we do have a fire. it has shut down harmel drive. alltel it will be cedar lane -- the alternates will be cedar lane. no problems out there. 95 at the toll plaza, switching over to a live view. southbound traffic is in a little heavier but no delays to report. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> some residents had a rude

awakening when a building caught fire. >> if happened at 4:00 a.m. this morning. jennifer franciotti is on the scene with the latest. >> the street you see behind me is actually liberty heights. all the fire activity is on hillsdale. the fire happened about 3:30 this morning on hillsdale with a vacant house involved in this fire. officials say when crews arrived, that fire was heavily in golfed in flames. they needed to call for a second alarm. they have to fight the fire from the exterior of the building. >> because of the intensity, because the damage to a neighboring nursing home that was occupied, as well as another home that was occupied by one individual. >> that is certainly good news.

the nursing home is actually in the form of a house that has been turned into a nursing home. it had four occupants. they were taken to a nearby van where they could wait this out. no injuries were reported. the cause of the fire remains under investigation. as of liberty heights, it looks like police are blocking off this area because of all of the heavy fire equipment. they're hoping to get it fully reopened within the next half hour. that will be good news for folks coming back to work after the long labor day weekend. reporting live, jan jan. >> three suspects are in police custody in the stabbing of a man in baltimore. it happened yesterday. a man was walking along when he was approached by three juveniles who stabs him. the man was taken to a nearby

hospital and he is expected to be ok. preparations are underway for the final phase of probably killing the well in the gulf of mexico. >> investigators now are a step closer to determine what caused the spill. leanne gregg has more. >> after being lifted from d.c., this piece of metal will become a crucial source of information -- after being lifted from the sea. understanding what it did not work could prevent future disasters. the ultimate tribute to the 11 men who died in the blast. >> i will think of their families, each and every one of them. i think these guys deserve this.

would begin this summer. baltimore county said that was a miscommunication. the issue will be on the ballot in november. fourth and fifth graders using classrooms in eight trailers next to the school. the cafeteria and gym are not large enough to handle the student body. a church is helping students begin the new year with the right foot forward. shoes or given away as well as school supplies to children in need. >> it will be a big lesson for them to not worry about being picked on, not that is a big issue, but some kids do get picked on because they do not have the things other kids have. >> more than 3000 students benefited. e> going away to colleg

there is a vehicle fire on northbound 97. this is a live look at the west side of the beltway at liberty road. things are moving just fine. no problems or delays to report. this is a 95 at the toll plaza. no problems southbound. northbound looking good as well. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. now for a final check on the buses and trains. >> still showing a few diversions on the bus lines. the 57 bus is diverting because of a morning fire. the 30 fire is diverting at light and perratt. there is a no diversion at pratt and the graieen. light rail is running with a 20- minute delay in 20 southbound direction.
